this year. It was created by an Italian developer Gabriele Cirulli. He is 19
years old and created the game on a single weekend. He described his game as a
clone of Sami Ramadhanas 2048.Within a week the game had received more than 4
million visitors. This got Cirulli amazed and surprised since he was just
passing his weekend time. The game has gained massive popularity and many
gamers now believe in it as being the original version of the game.
It involves a single player playing on a simple grid tile to
create the value 2048 hence the name. The tiles measurements are 4*4 and is
made of varying colors and are all numbered. They slide easily during play and
are moved using the four directional keys. The tiles can move the farthest
possible regarding on direction chosen. They are just stopped by the edge of
the grids or by other tiles. The numbered tiles move around the grid until two
tiles of the same value collide. After collision the tiles merge to become one
tile with double the value. This should be repeated until a 2048 tile is
created.
Once the tiles have collided and merged this cannot be repeated
again with another tile during the same move. After each and every turn a new
tile randomly appears. It emerges on the empty spaces on the grid with a value
of either 2 or 4.The higher scoring tiles emit a light that glows rapidly. The
score board is located on the upper right of the grid. The scores always start
at zero count and increases when two tiles collide and combine in their value.
The current score is shown alongside the highest scores achieved during game
play.
The game is won when a tile number 2048 appears on the grid.
When the target score is achieved the play still continues in a sand box mode.
In this mode the value exceeds 2048.The game ends when the player has no more
empty spaces and lacks legal moves. The game is run on open sources which has
resulted to many versions of the original game. The game is free to play and
also addictive in quest for success. In May this year Gabriele Cirulli released
the free versions of the game for Ios and Android applications. It is an
enjoyable game for all gamers.
